a poem by ken taylor
it is a fool who looks at a finger that points to the sky
a small gesture from a strange
hand can redact green horizons
contingent on the moment.
joint-bone. pivot bone. knuckle
bones used as original dice
linking argument with aleatoric casting.
weigh. examine. explain.
to get to the real of something.
like scorched sorrel or the deep
alphabets of algebraic saints.
i take my chocolate in the form
of eggs the day after the event.
deliverance in arrears on the cheap.
but still duck fear. seek red letter
shapes. rests. rhythmic wisdom
from the whispered one who wept
for torn threads at the edge.
